Welcome to our website

Transitional periods for Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) & Whole Body Vibration (WBV) have come to an end. Full regulations came into force on the 6th of July 2010.

The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005, came into force on 6th July 2005 with the aim to protect workers from risks to health from vibration.

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 came into force for all industry sectors in Great Britain on the 6th April 2006 (except for the Music & Entertainment sectors where they came into force 6th April 2008).

By law, as an Employer, you must asses & identify measures to eliminate or reduce risks from exposure to vibration and noise so that you can protect the health and hearing of your employees and to ensure that equipment being used by their employees falls within the legislation set out by the HSE

This means Company’s no matter what size will need to carry out risk assessments on all Tools and Plant being used by employees at their place of work,
also ensuring a maintenance system is in place to keep equipment & tools in a safe working condition.

Failure to comply will leave company’s open to possibly being sued by current or ex employees for HAV, WBV, Damaged Hearing and possible prosecution by the HSE
